Baking
I love baking and I love eating. The problem is, dairy and eggs are both baking staples and two of the most common allergens.
My workaround for this has been to bake bread (if you're not allergic to gluten) and find vegan recipes that have perfected substituting ingredients in place of common allergens/animal products.
There are endless recipes, but here are some of my favorites:
Sweets
Vanilla Cake (vegan|easy)
Banana Ice Cream (no recipe needed | cut bananas, freeze, blend)
Chocolate chip cookies (vegan | sub raisins for chocolate chips if allergic)
Breads (contain gluten)
Focaccia (easy | no knead)
Sweet Loaf (easy | knead)
Artisan Bread (easy | no knead)
Bagels (medium | knead)
For gluten allergies, try substituting or finding specific recipes that use almond, oat, or coconut flour.
